Digital Tools Bootcamp ’26: 1,465 Learners, 24 Tools and What Comes Next

The Digital Tools Bootcamp ’26 is complete, and 1,465 of you signed up to make it happen. From 11 August to 30 September 2026, we met live on Google Meet & Zoom at 5:00 PM GMT, one tool at a time, completely free.
To every learner who registered, logged on after a long day, asked questions, and practised between sessions: thank you. You turned a simple idea, 24 digital tools in 24 sessions, into one of the biggest things we have done at Applyd Academy.
1,465 learners from 5 countries
Registrations reached 1,465, led by Ghana and Kenya, which together make up 97% of sign-ups.

Kenya’s 281 learners demonstrate real demand for practical digital skills across East Africa.
We were also proud to see a balanced classroom: 51% of learners were women (751) and 48% were men (709).
200,000+ views online
Our bootcamp content was viewed more than 200,000 times across TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. TikTok led the way with 188,400 views, and 94.3% of those came from the For You page, meaning most viewers had never followed us before.
You also helped spread the word. Our TikTok videos were shared 3,600 times and liked 6,200 times. Every share brought someone new into the room.
24 tools, 24 facilitators
Twenty-four practitioners from Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria each led a session on one tool. Together they covered AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini, design tools like Canva and CapCut, the full Google Workspace suite, collaboration tools like Trello and Slack, and marketing tools like Buffer and Hootsuite.
We are deeply grateful to every facilitator who gave their time and expertise for free.
When you registered, we asked which tools you most wanted to learn. Google Workspace came out on top:

- Google Forms: 912 requests
- Google Sheets: 658 requests
- Microsoft Teams: 648 requests
- ChatGPT: 647 requests
